- Story -

This is a story of the Edo period, when the whole country was in peace.

The daimyos of all places in the whole country are free to do whatever they
want, regardless of the lives of the common people, since there fortunately
aren't any battles. Because they were pushing the limits of luxury the common
people of the villages could not support themselves. Their daily life was beyond
their control; suffering from gasping and wheezing, and living in poverty.

Well, in these times signed by “Don't do this and that is not allowed!" the
famous Goemon appeared on the scene. He simply helped out with everybody's
livelihood, stealing koban from the evil daimyos and handed them out to the poor
common people. If this world would be allowed to get better… Goemon sets out on
his pure journey to give his help to people and leave for Edo to negotiate with
the Shogun in order to make this disturbed world better.

However it's a small world after all. Another fellow thief with a similar
personality thinks about the same thing and is called to the same journey. That
person is once again someone who you all know; he answers to Nezumi Kozou by
going *squeek squeek*.

Will the two master thieves lead the daimyos of the various provinces by the
nose, while shaking of their persistent pursuers? Will they safely arrive in
Edo? Will they provide their advice and will Japan be reformed by the Shogun?

Now the fate of these two daring people determines their final destination
namely by getting to know your skills.

Persevere Goemon and don't get defeated Nezumi Kozou!
